Kit Questions
Do we need anything else besides what is provided in the kits?
We aim to provide everything you need to create the object you have chosen. The only thing you would need to provide yourself is scissors.
How long will it take me to complete a kit?
It will vary depending on the product you have bought and how experienced you are in that craft. We also never recommend trying to rush through a kit in one go. The simple beginner crochet projects will take a couple of days with breaks but more complicated kits such as cross stitch will take a bit longer.
What should I do if I am completely stuck?
Please feel free to email us at info@lakeviewmaker.com. We are happy to answer any questions about kits or techniques you have. We have a YouTube channel if you need help with the basics but we are happy to create extra videos or blogs for specific issues if we have not already covered them.
Can I wash my finished product?
We would always recommend hand washing our finished products if you need to wash them. You can use ordinary detergent but you want to make sure the water is not too hot. This will ensure the piece keeps its shape and will not suffer any shrinkage.
How do you keep your kits sustainable?
We aim to not use any non recyclable packaging. We use recycled cardboard, tissue paper, and vegetable cellulose biodegradable clear bags to store loose items. The only thing not recyclable is our stickers. We use bamboo crochet hooks to reduce plastic in our kits and recycled polyester or local wool for fillings. We try to give you only what you will need so that you have very little left over at the end of the project. We aim to use natural fibre yarns but we also try to be mindful of the cost of pure wool so we do offer wool blends to make our kits more affordable. We also offer cotton and acrylic fibres if you want your project to be vegan.
Delivery Questions
Who do you send parcels with?
We currently ship all orders via 1st Class Post with Royal Mail. This means the packages will aim to be delivered next working day but due to current COVID restrictions deliveries may be delayed.
My order has not arrived yet, what should I do?
There may just be a delay in shipping due to bad weather, postal strikes, or delays due to COVID-19. Please feel free to email us at info@lakeviewmaker.com and we will look into any delays or if necessary send out your order again if it is lost.
Order Questions
How do I cancel my order?
If you wish to cancel your order please email info@lakeviewmaker.com within 24 hours of placing the order with your order number. We will give you a full refund.
How do I change my order?
If you wish to amend your order please just send us an email at info@lakeviewmaker.com within 24 hours of placing the order with your order number and we will be able to make any changes you wish.
My order has been dispatched but I want to change the colours. What should I do?
If your order has already been dispatched we will not be able to amend it. Please return the order and email us for an exchange. Please check our returns policy for full information.
Can I cancel a PDF order?
We do not refund digital PDF orders as these are sent automatically after checkout.
